Clark Realty Builders Helps Girl Scouts Repair Clubhouse at Quantico

Builder shows community support through donation of materials for local Girl Scouts at Marine Corps Base Quantico.

QUANTICO, Va. - When the Girl Scouts of Marine Corps Base (MCB) Quantico needed help repairing their clubhouse, Clark Realty Builders (CRB) of Bethesda, Md. answered the call. The clubhouse, where the Scouts will hold their meetings and other events, was in dire need of a new roof, and CRB donated the materials to make it happen. The charitable endeavor underscores CRB's dedication and support for America's military families.

The Girl Scouts primary facility was set in Chamberlain Village, a neighborhood of obsolete housing, scheduled for demolition as part of the MCB Quantico Development plan to renovate and rebuild housing for Marines at MCB Quantico and their families. The Girl Scouts wanted to resume their activities in a 100-year-old cabin nearby, but lacked the funds to finish repairs to the roof. When CRB learned of the problem, the company donated the necessary roofing materials.

"We are proud supporters of the Scouts, and we're always happy to do what we can for the families of the Marines stationed at Quantico," said Michael Wildey, Sr. Project Executive at Clark Realty Builders.

Clark Realty Builders is the construction partner for Hunt Lincoln Clark Family Communities, LLC, a joint venture created for the revitalization of family housing at MCB Quantico and MCB Camp Pendleton (Pendleton, Calif.) in a public-private venture with the U.S. Marines. The MCB Quantico Development plan, which will span four and a half years, calls for the neighborhood-by-neighborhood redevelopment of the existing family housing inventory of 1,431 units. When complete, the community will have 993 new homes and 144 renovated historic structures. Hunt Lincoln Clark Family Communities, LLC is a joint venture between Clark Realty of Bethesda, Md.; Lincoln Property Company of Dallas, Texas; and Hunt Building Company of El Paso, Texas. Clark Realty manages the design, development, and construction at MCB Quantico. The asset and property management services of both Quantico and Camp Pendleton will be provided by Lincoln Property Company. Hunt Building Company will manage the design, development, and construction at Camp Pendleton.
