Ord Military Community 1,579 Military Homes Ord Military Community is a 1,579-unit military housing community that serves the military members attending the Defense Language Institute and the Naval Postgraduate School. Two phases have been completed to date to construct 373 new homes. A third phase will begin summer 2008. The three- and four-bedroom homes will feature water conserving fixtures, smart wiring for internet access and cable TV, and attached and detached two-car garages. Ord Military Community will include a 25,000-square-foot recreation center, neighborhood centers, a town hall, ball fields, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds and tot lots. PROJECT DATA
